WHO IS THE ELECTRICIAN?

Chet's Photo... Hi, I'm Chet. I started in the electrical field in 1959. I am a licensed electrician, (Journeyman E15690) (Master A7883) in Massachusetts. I am also a certified vocational instructor in electrical (installations, theory and code), and computer programming. I am a member of several professional organizations, IAEI, NFPA, MVA, NEA, and MTA. I opened my company, Tradesman Software, in 1991, after several years of planning.

My first electrical programs dealt with drill and practice solving Ohm's law and series and parallel circuits. They helped make assignments and provided a quick way for me to check student accuracy. I began writing more serious programs for solving practical circuit calculations and code compliance programs for selecting proper sizes of wires, conduits and junction boxes. These programs were then combined into one program that I called "ELECTRICIAN". The first program was based on the 1990 National Electrical Code. Since then I have added more features and updated the program to keep up with the code changes.

DOS or WINDOWS? I wanted my programs to run in both DOS and WINDOWS, so, I chose to write DOS based programs that do not lock me into a WINDOWS ONLY environment. So, even if you have an old 8088 machine, my electrician program will run on it!
